Terms and Conditions
1. PRICE POLICY
The prices include :
full insurance (as described in section 3, below: Insurance policy)
all taxes, including VAT and local taxes
delivery without extra charge during normal working hours
(from 08.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.) to all ports and airports in Crete and to your accommodation on a request.
outside these normal working hours, an additional charge for delivery will be made in the sum of 20 Euro per vehicle.
Different pick up and drop off location has an extra charge depending on the distance
2. RENTAL POLICY
Booking conditions:
Reservation can be made by e-mail or online.
Reservation is valid only if it is confirmed by Pan car.
Booking can be made only for a car group, Pan car cannot guarantee the exact mark of the car.
Driver(s) age and documents needed when collecting the vehicle:
• Valid ID or passport.
• Driving license (this must have been held for a minimum of two years).
• Driver age: the driver must be at least 23 years old for all categories of vehicle.
• Driver age limit: 72 years old.
Cars conditions:
The number of passengers: Our rental cars are insured for a maximum number of passengers. Your insurance will be invalid if this number is exceeded.
FUEL POLICY
Fuel is payable by the renter and only. The renter must return the car with the same amount of fuel as delivered. Unused fuel is not refundable
3. INSURANCE POLICY
OUR INSURANCE POLICY COVER:
1. Personal Accident Insurance (P.A.I)
Personal accident insurance for driver only.
2. Third Party Insurance (T.P.I)
Passengers are fully insured.
Full insurance to other cars and all their passengers.
Third-Party liability and Property Damage.
3. Theft Protection (T.P)
Theft Protection covers the cost of replacing the vehicle (or parts of it) should it be stolen.
4. Fire Protection Insurance (F.P)
5. Vandalism Protection Insurance (V.P)
6. Legal Assistance in event of an accident
7. Windscreen, windows and mirror cover.
8. Insurance for glasses (G.P)
9. Collision Damage Waiver – (C.D.W)
• Your Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W) or ‘insurance excess’ is 750€ to 1.300€ depending on the category of the car. Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W) is a service which reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle, its parts and accessories if an accident is your fault
PanCar offers car rentals without the need of a prior credit card authorization or the provision of cash as a guarantee in the event of damage for which you are responsible during the rental.
Other benefits:
• Unlimited mileage.
• 24/7 hours road assistance anywhere on Crete and substitution of vehicle in case of breakdown anywhere on the island of Crete.
• Free collection and delivery anywhere within 25km of the center of Chania City.
• Additional driver coverage for approved, named drivers.
• Free road map.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
Warning; Insurance Violations:
The renter shall be held responsible for the full cost of the damage or theft if it has been caused by him/her or an approved driver if the vehicle has been driven:
1. Under the influence of alcohol or drugs or if the driver could reasonably have been considered unfit to drive.
2. By any person who does not appear in the contract.
3. Off-road (only 4WD- SUV can be driven Off-road). Driving our vehicles on roads that are not tarmac is NOT permitted.
4. Theft or damage of any personal belongings left in a Pan Car vehicle is not covered by our insurance policy.
What to do if you have an accident:
If you have an accident immediately contact us! You should get the names and addresses of everyone involved, including any witnesses and take photographs of the car and any other vehicles or of the site if this is relevant. You should also make the vehicle secure and tell the police straight away if anyone is injured or there is a disagreement over who is responsible. A further requirement is that you must fill in our accident report form and return it to any of our locations. It is better to involve us as soon as possible so we can help.
SPECIAL NOTES:
* All traffic fines issued as a result of any violation of the Greek Traffic Law during the rental period, including associated administration costs, are solely the renter’s responsibility.
* The Renter will be responsible for the full cost of replacing any lost or damaged keys.
COVID-19: All our vehicles are cleaned and disinfected after every rental. Pan Car’s cleaning protocol is always adjusted to follow the measures stipulated by the National Public Health Organization (NPHO) and the General Secretariat for Civil Protection (GSCP) against COVID-19.
In Greece, Government measures for passenger protection against COVID-19 are changed periodically, in accordance with relevant Ministerial decisions. Please contact our staff to find out the latest updates.
